For me, the update of the card firmware did not fix the problem, either. It
looks like a hardware idiosyncrasy.

The real fix would be to implement code to detect and clear the hang condition
like it is obviously used in other OSes.

Disabling ASPM seems to be a mitigation, but no real fix.
