As far as I understand the log of this bug report is that the panic happened
once, then you suggested the workaround, then submitter reported that wasn't
able to reproduce with the workaround, but later reported that can't reproduce
without the workaround as well. IMHO, there is not evidence that the workaround
has any effect. We need some comment from the submitter.
