I expect this problem to be fixed once and for all in 16.0-CURRENT with
https://reviews.freebsd.org/D54728.

P.S. Note that there is a stack of changes to review underneath D54728 as well
as quite a lot of changes already pushed to main that the stack depends on. To
put it short, the once and for all fix will unlikely be merged to stable/15.
