SSH *does* work from FreeBSD/amd64 main:

% ssh -V
OpenSSH_10.0p2, OpenSSL 3.5.5 27 Jan 2026

but it does *not* work from my Linux/amd64 desktop:

% ssh -V
OpenSSH_10.0p2, OpenSSL 3.5.4 30 Sep 2025

(ssh_dispatch_run_fatal: Connection to fd00:0:0:1::b port 22: message
authentication code incorrect)

i'll try to get a debug log and compare ssh(d) options and algorithms
later today or tomorrow.
