In your ppc64 bigendian VM try doing "pkg update". All I see are SSL
errors. The same 16.0 build (mar 30 snapshot) build but ppc64 little
endian in QEMU VM works fine.

I can reproduce it with "fetch" to https://pkg.freebsd.org/.

Host: qemu-devel on x86 freebsd, -head, late march
VM: 16.0 mar-30 snapshot, one ppc64le, one ppc64be
