Check config file and adjust to your hardware!
Steps to upgrade your ethernet card
* Copy and unzip files to your OPNsense router
* Check what card do you have dmesg |grep igc0 change number if you have
multiple cards igc1, igc2...
* Check nvm.cfg is it correct with informations from dmesg |grep igc0 if not
then adjust to your hardware informations
* Copy MAC address and paste it in next line without :
* ./nvmupdate64e -b -l nvm.log -m 00E0B468DCBC -f -u -c nvm.cfg
* Run dmesg |grep igc0 and confirm that firmware changed from 2.17 -> 2.32
* Firmware is upgraded.
* Unplug power cord from device for 10-15sec and then turn device back on.
Be aware that when you upgrade your LAN NIC you will loose connection if you
doing this remotely, in this case leave it for 1-2min to finish task and then
REBOOT
Note
If your port is not working it's adviced to unplug power cord from device for
10-15sec and turn it back on. I did that step even after successful upgrade.
