Thanks for the pointer, I've subscribed to this bug.
I had searched for something similar, but I was focusing on vtnet, since 
it's the only peculiarity of this host (while all the others I've 
upgraded so far work fine).
I guess I was barking un the wrong tree.

I'll try to investigate a bit more ASAP.

That's going to hurt, since I use skipto a lot!
Could you point me to some more info, please?
(I'm going to skip 15.0 completely, but I might go 15.1 soon after it's 
out).
