Add a new port: security/detect-it-easy
Detect It Easy (DIE) is a program for determining file types and analyzing
executable files. It supports PE, ELF, Mach-O and other binary formats, and
provides both graphical and command-line tools.
The port installs the Detect It Easy GUI and command-line utilities, along with
the required databases and signatures.
The port has been successfully built and tested with Poudriere.
uname -a
FreeBSD user 15.0-RELEASE-p8 FreeBSD 15.0-RELEASE-p8 GENERIC amd64
The upstream author also develops several other useful binary analysis and
reverse engineering tools. FreeBSD already provides a solid environment for
reverse engineering, and adding these tools can further improve its usefulness
as a platform for binary analysis.
After testing them on FreeBSD, I plan to prepare ports for additional tools
from the same upstream project (ntinfo.biz) and submit them separately.
