Thank you.  What puzzles me is the "make config" output from within the
/usr/ports/multimedia/handbrake directory.

Sure enough the oneVPL choice was selected.  Once I deselected that choice,
I was able to build handbrake correctly using portmaster.

Everytime I tried to build handbrake (even after a fresh "git pull") it would
fail since it tried to build oneVPL first.

So my question is why is that choice (for oneVPL) in the "make config" screen
if, as you say, oneVPL is deprecated?
