Understood and thanks for your response. I was sure that there was a
good reason for having two MYSQL options available :).

I've been running MySQL 8.4 server for a while now but using the 8.0
MySQL client on most VM's. My use case is that I build rsyslog with
MySQL with poudriere to use to feed a database and with the default
version change this required an update to the 8.0 client - which broke a
Zabbix HA node! I hadn't seen the MYSQLDV option at that stage and only
found it when I started to dig into the issue. Setting it and building a
Zabbix server package of course fixed the issue. An alternative would 
probably have been a libmap.conf entry but that's a rather brute force 
approach.

Happy to leave this with you knowing that you have the issue in view.
