further horrors .. this FreeBSD 12.0RC1 install is a 32-bit system

Having done an install from the dvd
FreeBSD-12.0-RC1-powerpc-powerpc64-disc1.iso
I only now just ran into a trivial compile problem where I saw a message
that -m64 option flag was not available on this platform.

I never even bothered to check :

eris$
eris$ uname -a
FreeBSD eris 12.0-RC1 FreeBSD 12.0-RC1 r340470 GENERIC powerpc
eris$ file /bin/ls
/bin/ls: ELF 32-bit MSB executable, PowerPC or cisco 4500, version 1
(FreeBSD), dynamically linked, interpreter /libexec/ld-elf.so.1,
FreeBSD-style, for FreeBSD 12.0 (1200086), stripped
eris$

Sure enough this looks to be an entirely 32-bit system.
So this was a waste of my time and I have to start over.
