For example, a vector unsigned short data type is considered to contain eight unsigned 2-byte values. A pointer to unsigned 2-byte values used to stream through an array of unsigned 2-byte values by a full vector at a time should increment by vec_step(vector unsigned short) = 8. Table 2-3 provides a summary of the values by data type.
