I have a Blackbird (Power9) running 13.0-CURRENT r349478 and xfce4 and
the colors are ugly there, too.

So, I think we have a generic problem on ppc64 with graphics.

I haven't investigated yet, myself, as the machine is still fairly new
to me, and I'm mostly sshing to it right now.
