If you want to customize for your > specific CPU, add the following to /etc/make.conf: > > CPUTYPE=7450 > I got it from the error message above. ;-) This is a vanilla install using the ISO CD image downloaded yesterday and installed, followed by a portsnap fetch and portsnap extract. I haven't made any edits to /etc/make.conf or changed any other settings. Expected it to work "out of the box" but for some reason it doesn't. Am I correct in assuming that the 7447 came as a result of the kernel reading the PVR at some point? Or is this due to the gmp port's own attempt to get the processor version in config.guess?
