BM ethernet driver for Mac PowerPC blue and white G3.

I'm trying out FreeBSD 13.2 on my blue and white G3 Macintosh.

I read that FreeBSD 13.0 dropped BM0 / BMAC / BM ethernet driver support,
which is the ethernet the blue and white uses.

How might I reinstall this driver?

I tried adding "if_bm_load="YES"" to /boot/loader.conf  and restarted but I
saw on the openfirmware boot screen: "can't find 'if_bm'" when I rebooted.

dmesg has no mention of bm, ethernet, etc.

I'd try building a custom kernel but as it happens the hdd I'm using at the
moment is a spare 2.3GB drive which isn't large enough to install the src
files into during the install process. (big enough for a basic install tho,
so freebsd is running on the mac.)

I could use a larger hdd but that would involve backing up all the data I
have on that drive. I wanted to see if there's an alternative before taking
that course.
