PowerVM does use the pSeries guest interfaces (as part of PAPR).

FWIW, even if some kind of partitioning available in OPAL did work,
it still wouldn't be useful for me, as I would want to run IBM i in
a partition (and OPAL only is still not useful for pre-P8 HW).
