The 'port test' command (ports-mgmt/porttools) tests a port for a number = of possible errors by running portlint, building, packaging, installing, and de-installing with a check for left files. This is done with defined PREF= IX and PKG_DBDIR variables. 'port test' command is recommended by the Porter's H= andbook. Note that the port installs the usual way. $ cd mail/libmapi ; port test +++++++++++++++ =3D=3D=3D> Validating port with portlint looks fine. =3D=3D=3D> flags: PREFIX=3D/home/chu/tmp/libmapi-0.9_1 NO_DEPENDS=3Dyes P= KG_DBDIR=3D/tmp/pkg_db.fHIdZzM0 -- =3D=3D=3D> Cleaning workspace before port test =3D=3D=3D> Cleaning for libmapi-0.9_1 =3D=3D=3D> Found saved configuration for libmapi-0.9_1 =3D=3D=3D> Extracting for libmapi-0.9_1 =3D> MD5 Checksum OK for openchange-0.9-COCHRANE.tar.gz. =3D> SHA256 Checksum OK for openchange-0.9-COCHRANE.tar.gz. =3D=3D=3D> Patching for libmapi-0.9_1 =3D=3D=3D> Configuring for libmapi-0.9_1 checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c -o root -g w= heel checking whether build environment is sane... yes checking for a thread-safe mkdir -p... /usr/local/bin/gmkdir -p checking for gawk... gawk checking whether gmake sets $(MAKE)... yes checking for pkg-config... /usr/local/bin/pkg-config checking pkg-config is at least version 0.20... yes checking build system type... i386-portbld-freebsd8.0 checking host system type... i386-portbld-freebsd8.0 checking for samba 4... /usr/local checking for style of include used by gmake...
