In the face of -ffast-math, libm and its bit twiddling
gives the correct and expected result.  Changing to=20
use compiler builtins may generate wrong results.
I suppose we can't control users shooting themselves
in the foot.  If the proposal to add a README.md=20
to directories moves forward, then we can add the
