Just for the record, I found moving to the modesetting driver resolved
several annoying issues I was seeing on 12.0 with drm-kmod on my Sandy
Bridge system. You might want to give it a shot. (I did this a few months
ago, so I don't recall exactly what problems I was having. May have been
with vaapi support. You need to install libva-intel-driver on Sandy Bridge.)
