https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=196678 Jens Grassel <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #157 from Jens Grassel <[email protected]> --- Hi, I was hit with weird behaviour after the upgrade of xorg-server on several machines using nvidia graphics cards (Geforce GT 620 and 1030). The machines either crashed X (black screen, no keyboard controls, but X still killable via ssh) or started up but no mouse worked and the keyboard produces weird character combinations on each keypress making it unuseable. Downgrading the following packages fixed the problem for me: xf86-input-keyboard (r516607) xf86-input-libinput (r516607) xf86-input-mouse (r516607) xorg-server (r524048) Running 12.1-RELEASE-p2 GENERIC amd64 and packages are installed via pkg only, except for the downgrade. Maybe the cause is also the change from devd to udev in the package? Sadly I currently don't have much time to play around with it because the machines are in use.
