Like many things in FreeBSD, there is far more demand for support than there is
supply of people
who have the time to do the work.

Thus, when someone eventually tries to prune stale things out of the PR
database, they get
criticized instead of thanked.  This is one reason why I strongly suggest to
new bug triagers
"do not start with the oldest PRs.  You will mostly get negative feedback, and
that leads to
burnout".

It's also why I do not try to do such work myself, any more.
