Testing zzz with:
hw.vga.textmode=1
kern.vty=sc
kern.vt.fb.default_mode="1024x768"

a) zzz works on console


b) trying startx 

1. with renamed i915kms.ko files zzz FAILS with
Fatal server error:
[   103.691] (EE) Cannot run in framebuffer mode. Please specify busIDs for all
framebuffer devices

2. zzz WORKS with 
# ll /boot/kernel/i915kms.ko 
-r-xr-xr-x  1 root  wheel   663K 220210_0812 /boot/kernel/i915kms.ko*
