I also do not like multiple LLVM versions polluting my laptop.  Another
solution would be respecting LLVM_DEFAULT, either by holding off Mesa updates
or keeping a local patch for that matter, but then again, no one is willing to
do the work.  I simply keep some previous Mesa version around as it works just
fine (luckily for us, X.org stack is not that tightly coupled).
