what? Since when?

Agreed. But what about those of us whom don't or otherwise can't get a
github account? Does Github/Microsoft now own/maintain FreeBSD || it's
ports? Why github over any of the other service operators?
Apologies for doing this within your Problem Report, but as a maintainer
this is the first I've heard of such decisions.
