This looks like a bug in /usr/local/lib/libGL-NVIDIA.so.1 

The documentation
https://registry.khronos.org/OpenGL-Refpages/gl4/html/glGetString.xhtml doesn't
say that it can return null.

It isn't clear where to report bugs for nvidia-driver-390-390.154
