FWIW, after applying your patch (added under xf86-video-intel/files to keep it
simple), Firefox runs with intel/sna (GM45). No idea about stability.
Previously I've dropped sna due to corruption (I believe this is solved) and
occasional hangups.

As far as glxgears goes - sna > modesetting > uxa. YouTube performance is the
same, 1080p being maximum usable resolution.
