Note that I don't have any problem using x11 on my skylake or apollolake machine. Alderlake support in 5.15 is present but afaik not really stable so I wonder if previously you didn't had gpu acceleration and since the update mesa tries to do opengl via zink for some reason and obviously it doesn't work as you also have no Vulkan.
