Ah, so you were waiting for me to try it.  I've been busy doing something else
I wanted to finish before trying to fight building this from git (see Comment
30).  

If the mga change is basically the same as the nvidia change, I would expect it
to work.  If any other drivers (e.g., the VESA driver) need the same fix, I
would hope they get it, too. 

If the xf86-video-mga change appears as a pkg upgrade, I can try it pretty
quickly and then follow up here.
