The problem has been solved (at least in my case)!

Both "emacs" and "glxgears" start without reporting problems with the "zink"
driver, "drisw" screen, etc. I guess these are yesterday's upgrades (via pkg
upgrade):
* mesa-dri-24.0.8
* mesa-libs-24.0.8
that brought the solution.
