The Porter handbook gives all the details about port maintainer duties :)

In short you are responsible of keeping the port in a working state
and up-to-date. As a maintainer you have to submit your changes through
PR or github MR. The request is handle by port committers who review
the changes and push it.
Any port committer can this last task, not specially me.
