Thanks, Bapt! I just built the index on my system and you are, of course,
right. I was looking at the problem as being 'pkg version' did not do the right
thing and, as you state, it is really the index builder.

I will also point out that building the index locally (make -C /usr/ports
index) works fine. I had assumed that the index builder just did the same thing
as 'make index'.

Hopefully the auto index builder can be corrected soon. I would hate having to
deal with having to regularly build it locally again.
