Speaking with my Xorg dev hat on:

Is that stuff already in master branch (and was just backported from
there) ?

Did anybody test whether current master works, too ?
(don't have the necessary HW to test it myself)

Note that we're going to make new major release soon. Originally was
planned for last week, but delayed due f.d.o gitlab migration to Hetzner
(which is running right now).
