Patch in comment #14 works for the default (OpenGL? OpenGL ES?) backend. The
Vulkan backend which I used before the upgrade still fails with

[main.c:571] wl_display_roundtrip failed

and a segmentation fault. This backend can be enabled with setting WLR_RENDERER
environment variable to "vulkan".
