Compared relevant parts of good and NG Xorg.0.log.
In good case, PCI:*(1@0:0:0), while NG case PCI: (1@0:0:0). [No "*" in NG case]
Not sure why (not installed), in good case, nv driver is matched, while NG case
it's not.
Does the below help?
