https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=289808 --- Comment #1 from [email protected] --- I still have this problem. In my attempts to fix this (crash on boot failure) issue I have updated /usr/src and rebuilt the kernel and the world. I have also done an update in /usr/ports to make sure all 1000+ ports are now up-to-date with respect to the new kernel (and there were some changes). Running "pkg info | grep kmod" gives me three lines of output: drm-61-kmod-6.1.128.1403506_6 Direct Rendering Manager GPU drivers gpu-firmware-amd-kmod-aldebaran-20230625.1403506_2 Firmware modules for aldebaran AMD GPUs wifi-firmware-iwlwifi-kmod-20241017.1403506_2 Firmware modules for the iwlwifi (iwlwifi) WiFi NIC driver When the crash occurs there isn't a lot of context left on the console, but those lines that I can see are listed below: drm0: could not load firmware image 'amdgpu/gc_11_0_1_mes.bin' [drm ERROR :amdgpu_device_ip_early_init] early_init of IP block <mes_v11_0> failed -10 drmo: Fatal error during GPU init drm0: amdgpu: finishing device. Fatal trap 12: Page fault while in kernel mode This was followed by the register dump and the stack traceback. I don't know what this means. Can anyone advise? Thanks in advance. . -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
