That looks similar to my issue. When I saw it, it would not even be the entire
window flickering; it would be just a portion. Other times, it was random
parts of windows.

It is doubtful that it is solely picom since issue #1488 also suggests it is
not picom from other testing. Plus, other compositors are experiencing it but
not until 580.119.02.

Is egl-wayland actually used even if my system is only X11, or are you
suggesting that fix may apply, in someway, to egl-x11 too?

I suspect it is the Nvidia driver blob since it was working fine with the
previous version ports. Primarily, my report is only to make others aware of
what could happen.

Here is a report by Nvidia concerning this issue with an internal tracking bug:

https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/t/picom-sometimes-doesnt-repaint-gtk-3-with-nvidia-driver-590-44-01/355216/6

Regarding the key delays, I have not experienced those. Sorry if I made that
unclear. That was just what that person reported. Everything from "The Nvidia
proprietary driver..." and down were sk4g's comment.
