Changing the version of xorg-server to 21.1.18 or 21.1.21 resolves the
performance issue as per the link you shared, however it introduces another
issue. 

It appears for application windows the background is getting rendered over the
top of the foreground but just for application windows, not the whole desktop.
Sometimes it's a quick flash and other times it stays a little while. Makes it
quite difficult to do anything, especially where typing is concerned. Curiously
though it's only the the latest two releases of the nvidia-drm-66-kmod port. If
I use 580.105.08 it works fine.

Any suggestions on why I would be getting this affect? I'm wondering if it's
mismatched versions of something I'm not aware of. This is for xfce4. Didn't
seem to be doing it in KDE though.

I'm currently running 1600009 on commit
