Managed to resolve most issues by the following:

Upgrade to commit 2e0e45a516b93cc72771a5de8b87cd0a07a55f07
Install latest DRM drivers from commit 96fb41419355b30458ed87c11187f049d0933ed7
Upgrade xorg-server to 21.1.21
Moved from XFCE to KDE as XFCE has some rendering issues with this combination.

xorg-server i updates the ports Makefilie to the version in question and did
make makesum before building/install etc...
