confirmed the undefined function was never added to releng, it only was kept in
stable. kind of like ahci functionality in releng 14.3 with wrx90 or anything
using modern amd sata controllers on intel apparently per the original but
report against freebsd.

I should have checked this earlier. the 2year old date sounds about right. the
next commit on head adds pm_vt_switch_required
