https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=294870 --- Comment #21 from [email protected] --- (In reply to david from comment #20) OK; that seems to have worked. Specifically (on one of the laptops where building the kmod had failed), I: * Commented out the "PORTS_MODULES+=" lines in /etc/src.conf * (Re-)ran "make buildkernel" (which succeeded this time) * Ran "make installkernel" * ran "make installworld" I then restored the "PORTS_MODULES+=" lines in /etc/src.conf & did the above (from the "make buildkernel" step) again. This time, the kmods were built successfully, and the process completed normally. (Note that I did not actually reboot until the whole process completed. I (almost? certainly) did not need to re-do the "make installworld".) After rebooting and "make delete-old", it now reports: FreeBSD g1-119.catwhisker.org 16.0-CURRENT FreeBSD 16.0-CURRENT #814 main-n285692-7b5a23b12451: Mon May 4 12:37:08 UTC 2026 [email protected]:/common/S4/obj/usr/src/amd64.amd64/sys/CANARY amd64 1600018 1600018 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
