Hello,
I’m running FreeBSD 15.1-RELEASE on an Asus Zenbook UX3405MA (Intel Core Ultra 7 155H, Meteor Lake-P graphics). The base install works well — NVMe, Wi-Fi (iwlwifi), audio, and touchpad are all fine. The remaining issue is 3D acceleration: when i915kms loads, I get the typical Meteor Lake symptoms (black screen / console freeze) reported in drm-kmod issue #412.
I’m aware PR #324 (avoid register_fictitious_range on meteorlake) has been open since November 2024 and that the broader i915 Meteor Lake support in drm-kmod is incomplete.
Is anyone actively working on this, or is the plan to wait for a newer drm-kmod base (Linux 6.10+, or eventual xe driver port)? I’m happy to test patches or snapshots on the
