(In reply to Gleb Popov from comment #27)

I was actually noticing some oddities yesterday in upgrading firmware packages.

e.g., on a 15.0 box:

% pkg info -x firm
gpu-firmware-intel-kmod-kabylake-20250109.1500068

% pkg search kmod-kabylake
gpu-firmware-intel-kmod-kabylake-20260519.1500068 Firmware modules for kabylake
Intel GPUs
gpu-firmware-intel-kmod-kabylake-20250109.1500068 Firmware modules for kabylake
Intel GPUs

% pkg upgrade gpu-firmware-intel-kmod-kabylake

% pkg version -t gpu-firmware-intel-kmod-kabylake-20260519.1500068
gpu-firmware-intel-kmod-kabylake-20250109.1500068

And something weirder is happened on 15.1:

% pkg info -x gpu-firm
gpu-firmware-amd-kmod-polaris12-20250109.1501000

% pkg search polaris12
gpu-firmware-amd-kmod-polaris12-20260519.1500068 Firmware modules for polaris12
AMD GPUs
gpu-firmware-amd-kmod-polaris12-20250109.1501000 Firmware modules for polaris12
AMD GPUs

`pkg version -t` still says that should be upgraded, and `pkg upgrade` still
doesn't, but apparently the 15.1 kmods repo also has a 15.0-built module for
the 2026?
