One more, especially annoying problem with an AlderLake. Thee is another
trouble ticket about the mpv video player failing to work after the recent
update to mesa. So I was excited to see that one reporter tried mpv on several
different versions of drm-*-kmod and it only worked on 6.12.At my first
opportunity, I switched to 6.12 only to find that it locked up the system with
no hints in logs when I tried running mpv. Not sure how long it might have
lasted had I not typed "mpv", so this might be a trigger of the problems others
are seeing.

System is a Lenovo T16 (Intel Gen. 1) running current.The graphics is " Alder
Lake-UP3 GT2 [Iris Xe Graphics]'". 

As I have writen a number of scripts I use fairly often that work nicely with
mpv and don't with vlc, I really hope to get this resoled soon.
