Hi, Dario - all right, I' ll try to manage to get the Wiki current as soon as I have the feeling I understood some things! Nevertheless I have more questions.. To explain it- this is the first time I am creating a live CD- so knowing that I should have cloop-tools installed and that I should have added the GEOM_UZIP options to the kernel was new to me! So- perhaps I am the perfect guinea pig to test the fool-proofness of the FreeSBIE installation kit in that I won't miss a single tarpit to step into... _Question_: These are two fundamental problems I encounter Now that I am able to create my vanilla installation of FreeSBIE (5.4 that is)- can I use UNIONFS? I tried to compile it in (option was missing in the kernel config file) Another thing is: I use the customroot to write a complete PostgreSQL database to /var/pgsql and also to take my Zope installation (including Products and the database) and dump the whole thing onto /var/Zope. After waiting a loong time I boot for the first time and every single time until now /var was utterly different from what I expected. It contains none of the directories that I have copied to it (and I double-checked on $FREESBIE-CLONE/var. Why is that? Where does it go during mkisofs? And it makes no difference whether or not I use the EXTRA varmfs or not. It just gets overwritten. Why? How can I get my stuff there? And how do I make it readable? Thanks a lot for your help in advance- the more I get into it, the more FreeSBIE sucks me in..! wonderful toy to play with! Tilmann Dipl. Geol.
