Hello, I tried today to boot on three different machine, and none could get me to where I wanted. There was an IBM Thinkpad T23, where there is an error at bootloader (will retry later). There was also and IBM Thinkpad T43. It boots, but gets to a command-line interface, and if I try to execute "startx", the screen gets black and nothing moves. Finally, a cheap PC with a CD writer and DVD reader, both ATAPI. It seems it begins to boot from the CD writer fine, but after some time, many read errors appear on the screen, and nothing more ever happens. Please take this for what it is: a quick-and-dirty bug report from a UNIX/Linux admin without special knowledge about FreeBSD. If I can help further, I will as far as I can find the time to. Hope it helps anyway, even if not much. -- Jérôme Warnier FLOSS Consultant http://beeznest.net -- FreeSBIE mailing list (http://www.freesbie.org)
