I was referred to this site by a FreeBSD user that speaks FreeBSD and Linux and felt that it would be a good avenue to pursue. If you are a Sr. Linux Admin then the following position may interest you. TEKsystems is an IT Consulting Company and we are seeking a Linux Admin for a 2 month project in San Jose, CA. Experience necessary is as follows: Linux Systems Admin: 7-8 years of experience (primarily a heterogeneous environment) A qualified candidate must have a solid understanding of: * Linux - Red Hat EE2.1, EE3.0 and Suse 9 * Networking/distributed computing environment concepts * NFS/NIS/DNS * Routing concepts * Inter-process communication * Devices - what do device drivers do * Knowledge of file-system concepts is crucial (the design of consistent network wide file-system layouts * Client/Server programming This is a W-2 contract that can start next week.
