Software company located in Pleasanton, CA is
looking to expand its small IT department.

We are looking for a medium level FreeBSD geek to
co-perform system administration tasks, to
participate in the development and maintenance of
our intranet site software and to perform Windows
workstation maintenance.

I can not stress FreeBSD geek enough! We want
someone who lives and breathes FreeBSD. We want a
person who is eager to learn and perform research
on their own while being an integral part of our
team strategy.

This position will interact with all levels of the
company so good verbal and writing skills are
required.

Musts:

 * FreeBSD sysadmin

Install, maintain and upgrade. Good knowledge of
networking technologies, routing, firewalls
(ipfilter), IDS, PPTP/IPSec to name a few.
Apache, Bind, shell/perl scripting, Sendmail,
IMAP/POP, Samba and other services.

 * Web apps development

Apache, development and maintenance of medium size
PHP apps, MySQL dba.

 * Windows workstations maintenance 2K, XP,
vanilla MS apps.

 * Server room skills; hardware troubleshooting,
get a patch cable going, able to carry weight and
so on. Last but not least, a 24h uptime attitude.

General pluses : amanda, generate documentation,
pmake, Soekris or similar, gmake, build engineer
skills, Postgresql, Postfix, HTML, javascript, C, C++
