We are a dynamic pre-IPO company in Milpitas, CA, specializing in next generation SSL VPN solutions and technologies. We have an opportunity for a talented and self motivated software engineer with a passion for software development and networking technologies. This is a full-time, permanent position. You will be responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation of high-performance network security software products. You will be an integral part of a top-notch engineering team. Expect to work in a fast-paced startup environment. Job Responsibilities: * Architect, design and develop new product features * Enhance existing product capabilities * Work creatively on architectural improvements and solutions to challenging technical problems. Job Requirements: * Expert C/UNIX programming skills * Extensive UNIX kernel development experience * Extensive protocol-level development experience with TCP/IP networking * L7 protocol development experience (e.g. HTTP) is a plus * Experience with SSL or IPSec VPN design and development is a plus. * Advanced software design, problem-solving, and debugging skills * A self starter - highly motivated, able to contribute and acquire new technical skills with minimal guidance * Good verbal and written communication skills Most qualified applicants will have a minimum of 3 years of professional C/UNIX software design and development experience, and a B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent.
