Ridecharge is a 15 person startup located in Old Town Alexandria, VA.

We are looking for a backup/part-time FreeBSD system admin for 10-16 hours
a month initially.

You will be on-call, often only as backup unless someone's on vacation or 
drunk on a rotating schedule including
   * 9-5
   * nights
   * weekends

Some on-site work is required at our office and at our DataCenter in
Ashburn,VA.  The majority will be remote.

Responsibilities:
   * Manage all production FreeBSD systems, networking hardware
   * Monitor stability and performance
   * Provide support for common and advanced administrative tasks
   * Diagnose, correct and document system level problems
   * Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes

Requirements:
   * BA/BS in Computer Science, related technical discipline,
     or sufficient experience
   * 2+ years as FreeBSD System Admin
   * Experience in a production service environment
   * Excellent written and verbal communication skills
   * 6+ months Network Management

Preferred:
   * httpd 2.2.x (mod_proxy)
   * mongrel
   * rails 2
   * ruby
   * memcached
   * MySQL 5.1 with replication and/or NDB
   * Nagios
   * SonicWalls
   * Barracudas
   * Subversion
