Hi, We're looking for a contract developer to fix kern/147082 PR. In short, the serial drivers in 8.x (tested problems up to 8.2) won't work on the chipset on our boards. They work just fine in 6.x, in some 7.x versions, as well as other OSs (tested with OpenBSD, NetBSD, Debian, QNX, Windows). In 8.x, the serial drivers work during boot (I can boot the OS on over serial just fine), but stop working shortly after system starts init (last messages that will show up on console is around when network cards get initialized/setup). We're based in Vancouver, BC, but can arrange to ship sample hardware or setup remote access to allow for remote work. Please contact me directly at [email protected] if you're interested.
